SwitchBot Contact Sensor – Door/Window and Light Intensity Sensor

The SwitchBot Contact Sensor allows you to record the moment of entry / exit through the door or window, opening and closing them and the level of light intensity in the rooms where it is located.

It consists of two elements, attached close to each other on objects such as doors and windows.

It works on the principle of a magnetic connection , as soon as it is broken, the sensor will send a notification to your mobile device, affecting your sense of security and comfort.

Main Features of The SwitchBot Contact Sensor:

Wide detection range – The sensor registers movement up to 5 meters, at an angle of up to 90° horizontally and up to 55° vertically.

Equipped with a light sensor – It has a built-in light sensor that is used to detect and define the threshold of light intensity in the room in which it is located. The information from the SwitchBot Contact Sensor is available in the SwitchBot application.

It records every move – It will detect when you leave the house (you press the button on the device), other SwitchBot devices you have will automatically turn off. When you enter the room, by breaking the magnetic connection of the device (no button pressed), the Bot will automatically turn on and turn on the light in the corridor.

Security around the clock – The sensor detects any opening of doors and windows and informs you about it in the application.

Triggers remote and voice alarms – Works with the Alexa voice assistant, which, when connected to the SwitchBot Hub Mini (sold separately), will alert you with an audible signal when the sensor detects a suspicious person entering your premises.

IFTTT Automations – With IFTTT support, you can easily control all your SwitchBot devices and automate activities around your home. IFTTT allows users to create automations/scenes, e.g. “if I leave the house, turn off the light”.
